Skiing on the 3 Day Weekend to honor Martin Luther King, Jr.

On the 3 Day Weekend to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. we had friends visit from Dallas. I used to work with David. He brought his wife and children out and we went to wineries, fine dining (The Forester), and skiing. David is an awesome skier and kicked butt on the slopes. I have never seen someone from Oklahoma ski so well.

Sledding

Last weekend we had no power due to strong storms in the area. We took advantage of the snow to go sledding. The kids had a blast. We went with a friend from Jamesy's class and her parents. They brought some mulled wine and we stood around and watched the kids slide down the hill.

We camped out in the house that weekend. The power went out on Friday at around noon and came back on about 3pm Sunday. On Sunday, to take our minds off hoping we would have power again we went skiing. When we came home we had power again, we were elated!
