Jaimie's Aunt and Uncle visited us last weekend. We had a great time showing them around the area. We went to a winery, a brewery, Lake Tahoe and Emerald Bay, Tahoe City, South Lake Tahoe, Hope Valley, Silver Lake, Coloma and Jenkinson Lake. It was cool at the house and when we drove by Caples Lake it was still frozen over. Silver Lake was mostly frozen over.
On Sunday after we drove down from Lake Tahoe we were all going to stop at Dante's on the River to celebrate Jaimie's birthday but we had eaten a late lunch and were not hungry at 6 so we decided to go home and have a drink and then go back up. I called at 7:02 to make sure they were open, you know how little local businesses are. Nancy had some phone trouble but eventually called back about 5 minutes later. I asked if they were open and she said they were but were closing early tonight due to no customers (That was what I was afraid of when we went past earlier but no one was hungry enough since we had a late lunch). She asked how soon we could be there and that she didn't want to piss us off, and I said I didn't want to hold them up. So much for Jaimie's birthday dinner.
