Tahoe hike

We hiked up Mt Rose today. We were stopped by snow less than a mile up
the trail. We detoured to this spot to have lunch.

Summer solstice tounge

On Saturday the 19th we went toast Summer Solstice Festival on the
American river for a day of relaxing and listening to music. It was
very pleasant.

First kayaking of 2010

James took his first paddle today. He had fun.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Three chickens and a turkey. Good looking birds, aren't they? Hopefully there's not a rooster in the mix!

Second Grade Family Quilt

One of James' big projects in second grade was to create a quilt from squares contributed by his family. Darrin sent the pattern out far and wide and lots of family members responded. Here's the finished project. It really turned out beautifully. Thank you all so much.

Last Week of School

James' class took a field trip to the Cameron Park Pool. It was 50 degrees, but the that didn't stop the kids from swimming. His last day of school was May 28th. Yahoo! He's on his way to third grade now.
